The sound it makes
Hard "c" as in cat and cup. Soft "c" as in city sounds identical to "s" and is worth leaving well alone until reading is under way.
How the letter is formed
Start at two o'clock, curve up and over to the left, then all the way round and stop at four o'clock. One stroke, no lift.
